The Shallow Water Plankton Net is a classic scientific tool designed for qualitative or quantitative collection of plankton in shallower waters. Its operating principle involves towing by boat or manually, allowing water to flow through the conical mesh net, thereby intercepting plankton (including phytoplankton and zooplankton) in the water into the collection bottle at the end for subsequent observation, identification, counting, and ecological research.
